Hamdi is a prominent leader in Seattle, and has over 20 years of experience working with the African Diaspora immigrant and refugee community. A recipient of the King County Council’s MLK Medal of Distinguished Service, Ms. Abdulle works tirelessly to advocate for her community. Ms. Abdulle has a degree in Biology from George Mason University, and she is fluent in English, Somali, Arabic, and Italian.
Director of Programs
Bree is an urban planner and project manager with 8+ years of experience working with diverse communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her passions include developing affordable housing and economic development projects, policies, and programs rooted in equity and collaboration.
Positive Family Connections Manager
At ACHD, Lidiya develops curriculum and leads workshops, and also serves as a case manager. She graduated from Northwest University with dual bachelors degrees in Biology/Pre-Medicine and Psychology. On her days off, she also works at a residential mental health facility for teens and women as a youth mentor and care coordinator in behavioral health.
Digital Equity Coordinator
Asad participated in afterschool programs most of his childhood led by members of ACHD's leadership team, which had a profound effect on his growth as a young man. He is excited to be a part of the ACHD team so that he can contribute to the development of his community. Asad has an Associates Degree in Business from South Seattle College; in his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and Call of Duty.
As ACHD's Associate Director, Bilan designs and leads programs, develops curriculum, manages budgets, and advances the mission of the organization in the community. Ms. Aden holds a BA in Marketing from Seattle University and an MA in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) from the University of Washington. Ms. Aden also holds a Family Engagement Certificate from Harvard University, a P-3 Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of Washington, and she attended IslandWood’s Education for Community and Environment program in 2018.
Finance & Operations Director
Teri joined ACHD in October of 2020 to build the agency's capacity to manage its finances as it grows in size and complexity. Teri brings with her thirty years of non-profit experience. She has extensive knowledge in non-profit leadership, business finance, budgeting, and project management. Teri is excited to provide support and leadership to the amazing team at ACHD as they impact the community in so many ways. Outside of work Teri enjoys spending time with her beautiful teenage daughters.
Executive Assistant & Youth Manager
Ruwayda is known for her ability to establish and maintain positive teaching in an interactive, project-based environment. She holds a bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Washington with a minor in Human Rights. In her free time, Ruwayda loves reading, boxing, and drinking coffee.
Workforce Development Manager
With over 10 years in both public and private sectors, Daud has experience in management consultation, team building, workforce development, and strategic planning. Daud holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Washington. In his free time, Daud loves traveling, hiking and spending time with his family.
Fund Development & Food Access Director
Rachel writes grants and raises funds for ACHD, in addition to running the Farmers Market and caring for the Grow Together urban farm. She has a bachelors degree from the University of Washington, and is a member of the King Conservation District Advisory Committee and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. When she's not working with ACHD, Rachel runs Bad Weather Farm in North Seattle.
