Forest Lake

JUNIOR NATURALISTS WEEK
JUNE 20TH - 24TH

Dust off your ranger hat and sense of adventure because we are becoming Junior Naturalists! From learning how to use a map and a compass to identifying trees, outdoor explorers will be ready to! We will learn what is means to be a Naturalist from United States Forest Service Rangers and walk away with an official ACHD Junior Naturalist badge and certificate.

WILDERNESS SKILLS WEEK
JUNE 27TH - 29TH

What skills do you need to be safe and have fun outdoors? This week Outdoor Explorers will practice important outdoor skills in navigation, knot tying, outdoor preparedness, camping, and hiking. We will venture to Middle Fork Campground in the Mount Baker National Forest at the end of the week to learn from United States Forest Service rangers.

INSECT INVESTIGATORS!
JULY 5TH - 8TH

Have you ever wonder what lives under a log or deep in the soil beneath your feet? Find out this week of Outdoor explorers! We will learn about the many insects that call Washington home and watch as Monarch caterpillars grow in our classroom.

WILD WASHINGTON WATERS
JULY 11TH - 14TH

Washington’s waters are filled with creatures big and small for us to discover! Join Outdoor explorers in tide pooling adventures with the Seattle Aquarium, winding river explorations, and water quality investigations.

JULY 18TH - 21ST

The forest is filled with friends ready for us to meet and greet! Come join us in this week of Outdoor Explorers as we discover all the creatures that call our forests home.

ECOSYSTEM EXPLORERS
JULY 25TH - 28TH

Washington is home to a diversity of ecosystems. Outdoor Explorers will study marine, forest, and urban ecosystems while building community together.

FAMILY CAMPING TRIP
JULY 30TH - 31ST

Join us for a fun-filled family overnight camping trip guided by knowledgeable outdoor educators at Lake Sammamish Campground! All you need is a sense of adventure and a smile because all camping gear, and meals are provided. Any participant of Outdoor Explorers and their family is invited and encouraged to register.
